Barbie is 63-years-old but like most Baby Boomers she is not standing still and is changing with the times! So is her longtime partner Ken!
Next month. Mattel will introduce a Barbie with hearing aids. And it's not just child's play. In designing the tiny devices for the doll, Mattel brought in Dr. Jen Richardson, a leading practitioner in educational audiology. She says the doll with the hot pink hearing aid could inspire girls who deal with hearing loss.
Mattel is continuing it's them of helping kids see themselves reflected in the dolls. A Ken doll with the skin condition vitiligo will also come out next month.
The new dolls will be launched in Walmart and Target stores as well as on Amazon.
